Colorado will get nearly $4.9 million in federal stimulus funds for national wildlife refuges and fish hatcheries in our state.
Over the weekend, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar said that the money will create jobs and promote conservation.
The Interior Department says the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge near Denver will get more than $3 million for projects.
The Hotchkiss National Fish Hatchery in Delta County will get just a little more than $2 million.
The money is part of the overall $787 billion stimulus package that Congress passed earlier this year.
