The Mesa County Sheriff's Office says it will continue to investigate the possible kidnapping of a Central High School Student.
Officials say Tuesday afternoon, the student called deputies and told them he had been forced into a car at the high school about 11:00am, then was dropped off later at the City Market in Clifton.
He told deputies the suspects had a handgun.
Officials say a school resource officer will follow up with the student Wednesday.
They say the Sheriff's Office takes every report seriously, but there are inconsistencies in the boy's story. Although they say there is no evidence to show the kidnapping is false, officials say the case will not be moved to an investigator.
