Don't get swindled by a Swine Flu Scam, that's the message from the Better Business Bureau of Southern Colorado.

Officials are warning consumers to be on the lookout for fraudulent e–mails and Web sites trying to cash in on the recent outbreak.

A spokesperson for the Better Business Bureau says the scams include a Web site that's offering a “Swine Flu Survival Guide” for $19.95 and e–mails with links to online pharmacies.

The Better Business Bureau says to avoid such scams:
- don't believe online offers for vaccinations. One doesn't exist.
- don't open e–mails from unknown sources.
- and make sure your computer's antivirus and anti-spyware software is up to date.
