Thousands of Mesa County residents chimed in on a Town Hall Teleforum last weekend.
All registered voters received a call at home Saturday morning and officials say more than 8,100 were on the line for part of the call with more than 900 participating for the full hour.
The topic was the county's 2010 budget, residents answered poll questions and asked commissioners questions.
Among the most important issues to residents, crime prevention, funding for attracting new businesses to the area, protection and aid for abused children and adults, and ease of travel.
