Lost, abandoned, and stray cats now have a new place to rest their paws.

The "CLAWS" cat shelter officially opened its hearts and doors this weekend.

The shelter held an open house and invited the community to come tour the facility.

Employees at the non–profit shelter say they hope to teach the public about the importance of proper care of cats, including spaying and neutering, while giving cats a loving place to stay.

The shelter is now open for adoptions.

This is a wonderful addition to the community. Thank you to the cat caring people at CLAWS. I hope that people will listen to the advice about spaying and neutering their pets.
