The Grand Junction Imagination Library is expanding to include zip code 81503 in Orchard Mesa.

The Imagination Library is a national program that was introduced here in Grand Junction last November. This Library is a non–profit group that provides an age appropriate book, every month, to children from birth to age five at no cost to their family. Since launching, they have provided 678 free books to children in the community.

Studies show that families receiving books through Imagination Library read to their children 75% more than they did before enrolling in the program.

The celebration for this expansion will be held at the Orchard Mesa branch of Mesa County Public Library on May 27Th from 2:00-4:00pm.
All families are invited to attend and eligible children will be able to register for the program during the event.

The program is possible only with the financial support of the community. To donate to Imagination Library click on the link below.
