A man arrested for shooting another man in the stomach out in the desert was found guilty of one charge and acquitted of another.
52– year–old Charles Ettinger got into an argument with three other men about "property rights" on east Orchard Mesa in February 2008.
One of the men grabbed the barrel of his gun and the gun went off, shooting 26–year–old Steven Dodd in the stomach.
Ettinger was found not guilty of second degree assault and prohibited use of a weapon.
He was found guilty of menacing with a deadly weapon and taken into custody.
He will be held without bond until sentencing which is set July 14 at 3:30 p.m.
