The County has approved an expansion to the Riverfront Trail that will
add a mile and a half of paved path.
Commissioners voted today on the easement of property just north of the Colorado River on 33 road and say it's part of their renewed focus on finishing a 30–mile paved trail from palisade to Fruita.
The Mesa County Land Trust has been working on the deal for five years and says they're excited for the addition.
The new section of the trail between 32 and 331/2 roads is expected to be complete by next spring.
