Classes and dorms at Mesa State College will be jam packed this year. The college is reporting record high enrollment numbers.

The school says summer enrollment is up more than 17 percent from last year and it has received 25 percent more applications for fall classes.

The college says its seen steady growth but says this upsurge is big.

Officials say more students are staying enrolled or re–enrolling to look for a new career in the recession.

The college is warning students to register early, especially for dorms, which are already more than 90 percent full for the fall.
