An 18–year–old man involved in several burglaries will not spend time in jail.

A judge sentenced Cameron Tallent to nine years of supervised probation.

Tallent smashed his way into the Grand Junction Visitors Center and stole thousands of dollars worth of electronics last year.

He was also caught shoplifting at K–Mart.

As part of the plea agreement, Tallent will have to pay the visitor's center almost $3,000 in restitution.

In an emotional appearance before the judge, he said he was sorry for his crimes.
