Downtown is more than just Main Street

Construction and landscaping is finally done on Colorado Avenue and business owners are celebrating.

Friday at 10 a.m., business owners, dignitaries and the community will gather for a ribbon cutting ceremony in the middle of the 400 block of Colorado Avenue.

The street has a new look Downtown officials say they hope will remind everyone that Downtown is more than just Main Street.

The celebrations continue on Saturday with entertainment, giveaways, sidewalk sales and more.

The public is invited to both events.

Schedule of events:
Friday, May 29: Ribbon Cutting @ 10 a.m. in the 400 block.

Saturday, May 30: All activities held in the Five 60 Salon & Spa parking lot located on the corner of 6th & Colorado.
Live entertainment from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Balloon-tying, face painting from 12 – 2 p.m.
Influx jazz band concert from 1 – 3 p.m.
Cut-a-Thon for CASA from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. @ Five 60 Salon & Spa. $15 haircuts, eyebrow waxes. All money raised, including tips, goes to CASA.
