A mobile lab–on–wheels rolls over on I–70, forcing the off-ramp at 24 Road to be shut down.
It happened around 3:30 a.m. Friday.
A man rolled the mobile lab owned by the Bureau of Reclamation.
Witnesses say the man was swerving just ahead of the accident.
He admitted to police that he was tired and was getting off the highway to rest.
Around 80 gallons of diesel spilled, prompting police to shut it down for clean–up.
More than 50 yards of guardrail was destroyed.
The Grand Junction Fire Department responded, but the man didn't suffer any injuries.
C–DOT has to fix the guardrail before it can be reopened.
