Grand Junction, Colo. (AP) - A former teller at a Grand Junction Credit Union has been sentenced to probation after pleading guilty to embezzling more than $24,000.
A judge on Monday ordered Diane Marlene Blaylock to serve 90 days in jail, 10 years of probation, perform 720 hours of community service and pay restitution. Her jail sentence will be suspended if she completes her community service by April 1, 2010.
Blaylock admitted in November that she embezzled from the Coloramo Federal Credit Union where she worked. An arrest affidavit indicated Blaylock said she took the money for ``essential'' living expenses including food, utilities and help for her daughter.
Blaylock will also be required to undergo a mental evaluation.
