It was a carnival of animals Tuesday at the Palisade branch of the Mesa County Library.

The Grand Junction Symphony's brass quintet played songs from the musical piece 'The Carnival of Animals' to kick off the library's summer reading program. The program's theme this year is “be creative” with a focus on the arts.

Wednesday June 3rd 2:30 p.m. Clifton Branch Library

Thursday, June 4th 10 a.m. Fruita Branch Library

Friday, June 5th 10 a.m. Orchard Mesa Branch Library
