Nearly 1,000 Xcel Energy customers on the Redlands are without power.
The planned outage by the company is expected to last a couple hours while the energy company makes some much needed upgrades to the area.
Starting at 11 a.m., power on South Camp Road from Broadway to Monument Road was shut down.
Xcel says it is completing the final phases of a project to upgrade electrical lines because that area has seen so much growth.
Power will be restored around 1 p.m.
