Grand Junction Police are asking the public for help in finding the suspect they believe is connected to a weekend shooting.

Police say they're looking for 22-year-old Robert Roy Rodriguez. He is described as 5' 9" tall, 200 pounds with brown, shaved hair and brown eyes. They say he has a large, dark tattoo on his throat, and a tattoo of the crossed out word Tiffany on the right side of his neck.

Investigators believe Rodriguez was at the Chateau apartments early Sunday morning, where someone shot a man six times and took off. They say at this point in the investigation, Rodriguez is their only suspect.

Police have not released the identity of the victim, but say he is still alive. Investigators believe he knew Rodriguez, but are still trying to find a motive.

Officials say Rodriguez should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees him or has information about his whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
