Recession Hurts Even Pets

Family pets are suffering in this recession. With money tight some families have had to downsize to make ends meet and in some cases that means getting rid of their pets. The Roice Hurst humane society says they have been swamped with people dropping off pets they can no longer afford to take care of.

"We're getting a lot of them coming in to our door step and unfortunately we've gotten so many we can't take them all, it's a very sad situation." says Lana Fergeson president of Roice Hurst.
