Mesa County Sheriff's Deputies have issued a warrant for the arrest of a Loma resident after an overnight shooting incident.

Officials are looking for 45-year-old Mark Edward Young in connection with a shooting at Young's home at 1640 P Road last night.

Deputies were called to the P Road house after getting a report of a vehicle with bullet holes in it. Officials say they were given information that a high power rifle was in the home and responded with S.W.A.T. officers.

Officers worked for six hours to contact anyone inside the home, thinking Young was still inside. Just before 4 a.m. Tuesday they entered the house and found it empty.

Young is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately. Officials are not releasing a photograph of Young at this time.

It clearly says it's a developing story, Anonymous in Loma. Keep your pants on and see if they're able to bring any more details out during the newscast. Cops can't give a lot of details in cases sometimes and I'm sure these ambitious media people are all over the spokesperson asking for more information. (Stories are often only as good as the public information officer providing the information.) Have a little faith that they're doing the best they can with the information they have and find something else to get upset about.
