An update to an exclusive story we brought you last month--A Grand Junction woman who is on the verge of losing her house has more time to work things out with her mortgage company.

Theresa Soto was facing foreclosure and her mortgage company promised her a deal, then wrongfully sold her house right out from under her.

But even though they weren't supposed to sell it, Soto is still behind on her payments and unless she can work out a deal her mortgage company was going to go ahead with the sale.

Soto could not get a response from the mortgage company for months. Now after our story aired, the company is finally calling her back.

"I've always called them two to three times a week over and over again, be put on hold several times and now they called me. I was happy about that," Soto told 11 News on Tuesday.

The company has also agreed to give Soto another month while she tries to refinance.

We'll keep you updated on her progress.
