A 24–year old man is sentenced to three years in community corrections and 10 years to life of highly supervised probation.
This sentence comes after he pleaded guilty to sexual assault on a child.
Fruita Police arrested Derek Plummer January 24 for performing sexual acts on a girl younger than 15.
Conditions of Plummer's sentence include wearing a GPS tracking device at all times and no contact with any children under 18 until he successfully completes sexual offender treatment.
Plummer also owes thousands of dollars in fines to the court and hundreds of dollars in compensation to the victim's family.
