Mesa County health officials say Swine Flu has come to Mesa County.

According to the Mesa County Health Department, it has been confirmed that a young adult who became ill after attending a wedding at Powderhorn Ski Resort last weekend has Swine Flu.

They say this person and others who got sick after attending the event is believed to have been linked to increased Swine Flu activity in Utah.

Dr. Aduddell of the Mesa County Health Department says this probably isn't the county's first case of Swine Flu, but it is the first confirmed case.

Today, the World Health Organization raised the alert level to 6, officially declaring Swine Flu a pandemic.

At least 71 people who attended this wedding are sick with the flu. Not all have been confirmed with Swine Flu, but not much of a stretch if 1 or 2 people who were there have been. It's here folks. Take care and pray for the recovery of those who have it.

Your pig picture is inaccurate. This swine flu has nothing to do with pigs. http://www.upi.com/Science_News/2009/04/28/Swine-flu-not-linked-with-todays-pigs/UPI-61741240930122/
