The Mesa County Sherrif's Office has arrested a man they say robbed a Clifton bank Saturday afternoon.
Investigators say Steven Erichsen walked into the Wells Fargo Bank in the Peach Tree Shopping Center around noon and demanded money.
According to an arrest affidavit, Erichsen handed the teller a note that said, "THIS IS A ROBBERY I have a gun In My Pants Wasit. I will shoot you In The Head If any alarms go off. You have 60 Seconds To Put All of your Money from Both Drawes Top & Bottom In the Bag."
Erichsen handed the teller a grocery bag and she put $11,700 in it along with a red dye pack.
There were about 12 to 15 people in the bank when the robbery happened.
Deputies spotted Erichsen running from the bank. They say he tried to hide the money in a back-pack in an empty semi trailer bed.
He is facing five felony charges including aggravated robbery.
