4th of July Independence Monument Climb to Benefit Search & Rescue

It's not too early to start thinking about your plans for the 4th of July if you haven't already.

Mesa County Search and Rescue is doing its annual 4th of July Independence Monument Rock Climb.

All proceeds go to benefit the search and rescue’s technical ropes team.

The cost is $125 per person. No climbing experience is needed and gear is provided. The hike starts at 5:00a.m. Participants should be prepared for 2 hours of hiking and 2-4 hours to complete the climb.

There is a mandatory meeting on July 3 at 6:30p.m. to discuss the hike and distribute gear.
