Friday night, there's an old-fashioned shootout at the Avalon. And it brings Christmas to low-income families in Grand Junction.
The Grand Junction Employee Association is hosting a Wild West night at the Avalon Theatre to benefit the Christmas in July program. It features a silent film with a live pianist, a talk from historian Dave Fishell, and a Wild West shootout with members of the Grand Junction Police Department-even Chief Bill Gardner will be on hand to entertain.
All proceeds will go to support local families who need a helping hand.
The show starts at 7 p.m. Friday. Tickets are $6. Organizers will begin taking nominations for famililes who need help in the next few weeks.
