Imagine having a garage full of sports cars, Harleys, boats and ATV equipment.
Well you can have all of those things for just over $100 a month.
11 News Reporter Aaron Luna explains.
Charles Pabst likes to go boating.
"Probably about three or four times a year,” he says.
The only problem was, he didn't own a boat.
"It just always comes up when somebody wants to do a quick trip out somewhere and wants to go with the toys but you don't want to have this big stock of toys sitting around," he says.
That's when a shiny Chapparal parked outside of the new business, Toyz 4 U caught his eye.
"I was actually looking to purchase a boat and I couldn't justify it with the current economic times," he says.
So he decided to rent one.
He says, "These are things that are very expensive and are so much fun you can gather up so many memories with your family."
Toyz 4 U co–owner Brock Wade says renting is the perfect business for a recession because it gives people the chance to enjoy these high-priced items without actually buying them.
Wade says, "For our $119 a month you can have all of this. A flat monthly fee will give you access to the SSR on Monday, let you take out the ‘vett on Tuesday, spend the day on the lake Wednesday, but you can also get those tools to help you finish up that trim job by the weekend."
Wade also says they carry, “Generators and air compressors, nail guns, we have tile saws, chop saws."
Toyz 4 U also carries camping gear, barbecues, heavy equipment and toys for the kids as well.
And while the tools will definitely help out in a remodel, Pabst is all about the big boy toys.
Pabst says, "I took my wife out on a Harley for a date and it just made it a primo time, it was fantastic."
The Grand Opening of Toyz 4 U starts Saturday, but Pabst is already well on his way to trying out everything they have in stock.
He says, "Well, they've got a nice Hummer over there and I've always been quite partial to that so I might have to take one of those out."
But not before he takes the trailer on a family vacation.
Toyz 4 U is located at 596 23 ½ Road #A in Grand Junction.
