One person was killed in a rollover accident on I-70 early Saturday morning.
Around 2:35 a.m. the Colorado State Patrol responded to the accident near milepost 24. When officers arrived they say they saw a 1998 Toyota 4Runner on its side in the eastbound lanes.
Investigators say the Toyota was traveling westbound through a curve on I-70 when the driver over steered and went off the left side of the roadway. They say the vehicle rolled 2 ¼ times before coming to a rest.
Troopers say the driver was ejected from the vehicle and was found lying in the median. The driver was pronounced dead on scene. The identity of the driver is being withheld at this time pending notification of family members.
State Patrol has not said whether alcohol, drugs or speed was a factor in the crash.
