Father's Day in the Grand Valley

Families across the Grand Valley took time out to celebrate dad Sunday.

Some started the day with their father at church. Dads at the First Church of the Nazarene in Grand Junction were treated to a very special Father's Day Concert; the Burchfield Brother’s from Nashville, Tennessee stopped in to play some tunes.

For Tim Moyer this was his first Father's Day and while he says he enjoys being a father he's still getting used to it, “It’s been interesting.”

Wallace Erikson has been a dad for over 50 years and has enjoyed every Father's Day he's had, “They've all been precious and wonderful.”

However this year Erikson will have to wait a few days before he gets to see any of his children, “This coming week I have a son that will be coming through grand junction.”

Others treated their dad to a stroll down Main St., lunch in downtown Grand Junction and some home made gifts. However you spent the day we'd like to wish all dads a very happy Father’s Day.
