A final report was released to the public Monday on the latest phase of Mesa County's Energy Master Plan.
Officials with Mesa County say the report includes a new energy resource atlas which shows energy companies how to access resources while having the least impact on the community, “We've asked energy folks that are aware and were going to do some outreach and training with them to use this and say ok this area is along a scenic byway it's important to the community so we may have to do something unique,” says Keith Fife the Long Range Planning Division Director for Mesa County.
The board of county commissioners will now review the final report and it's findings for this latest phase of the Energy Master Plan. Later this year there will also be another round of open meetings where the public can voice their opinion.
