Police say a woman was driving a Ford Mustang Monday evening when her steering wheel fell off. Police say the woman was driving near 4th and Hill in Grand Junction when it happened.
She was driving a classic Mustang when her steering wheel fell off in her lap. The car veered off the road and hit a light pole. The road was closed for about an hour while crews cleaned up the mess.
Authorities say the woman's injuries are not life-threatening.
