Grand Junction firefighters were responding to a minor accident between a motorcycle and a pick-up truck near F and 28 1/4 Roads Monday night when police say a man in a van smashed into the big red truck, then fled the scene.

They say he returned shortly afterwards, and was cited for careless driving and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. No one was injured in the crash.
