A man arrested for domestic violence will spend 18 months in community corrections.
34–year–old Jose Herrera–Herrera faced a judge for sentencing Friday morning after pleading guilty to menacing and bail violation charges.
Police say Herrera punched and choked his wife in March.
It's not the first time he's been in trouble with the law. Herrera–Herrera is already in jail on other charges.
He will start his sentence in community corrections when he gets out.
