Employees at Bookcliff Gardens organized a benefit event Friday for Cody Riggs, a co-worker of theirs that's suffering from lymphoma.
Riggs is only 27 years old; he is a husband and also a father of three young children. His co-workers put together a benefit car wash, bake sale, and hot dog lunch to help raise money for Riggs' medical expenses.
“We found out about a month ago that he was diagnosed with advanced Non-Hodgekins Lymphoma so he's requiring some radical chemo treatments and a bone marrow transplant,” says Dan Komolo of Bookcliff Gardens.
If you missed the event but want to help you can make a donation to the Cody Riggs and Family Benefit account at Bank of the West in Fruita.
