Of course, nothing quite says summer in Grand Junction like Country Jam.
For this week’s edition of Summer Times 11 News reporter Summer Harrington takes us to the event and shows us more of what it has to offer.
The music maybe the main event, with country acts such as Big & Rich and Clay Walker there is plenty of things to do.
But in between concerts people can find another way to entertain themselves.
On the east side of Country Jam Ranch there are a number of rides for trill seekers.
From bungie trampolines, where high jumps and flips are done with ease, to the Tornado Ride, where kids can take a spin.
One of this year’s more popular rides is the Face Off, where to people battle it out Gladiator style. Operator Tom Davis says, “It's good for legally betting your buddy.”
Owners of the game say that this is a great way to get back at your loved ones.
Another popular ride is the Sling Shot. Shane Patrick, who operates the ride, says “It's kind of like a yo–yo.”
Forty-two springs sends two people flying 250 feet towards the sky at a speed of 90 mile per hour, which makes for quite the ride.
So whether you're looking for some music or a thrill, people are finding it out in Mack, Colorado.
Watch 11 News next Sunday at 5:30 p.m. for another edition of Summer Times as Summer takes you paragliding in Glenwood Springs.
