Local homeowners in the 7th Street Historical District want to transform their place into a business and some neighbors are up in arms.
And they’re taking the battle to City Council.
Some houses in the historical district have changed into businesses such as daycare facilities.
Now, owners of one of the more historical houses on the corner of 7th and Chipeta wants to become a Bed and Breakfast.
They were approved by the City to go forward and turn their place into a business, but some neighbors say it broke an agreement of the Historical District.
The homeowners say it should not damage the neighborhood feel of the Historical District and they are in compliance with the current zoning laws of that section of North 7th.
