Mesa County Animal Services kennels are full of pets that ran away after getting spooked by holiday fireworks.

Animal Services officers say since Thursday, July 2, they’ve picked up 47 lost dogs.

Officers say if you lost your pet, come in during regular hours and have a look around in their facility.

If you still don’t see your pet, file a missing animal report, and keep checking back.
