The Roan Cliff fire continues to burn just west of Baxter Pass.
Officials say they think a lightning strike sparked the blaze.
BLM officials say one engine, an 8–person smoke jumper team, and a helicopter were on scene all night.
No structures are threatened at this time but there are oil and gas facilities in the area.
Firefighters are working to protect those facilities now in case the fire does come in that direction.
High winds are expected to fuel the fire today and smoke will be visible around the Grand Valley.
More crews are not expected to join the fight to contain the blaze.
