Mesa County Sheriff's deputies are on scene near the Palisade where rocks came crashing down off the Bookcliffs.
That rockslide occurred just after 6:00pm near the Palisade exit along Interstate 70.
Eyewitnesses tell 11 News they heard a loud, thundering noise, then saw rocks from top of the Bookcliffs come crashing down.
No rocks landed on the Interstate and traffic continues to move as normal.
Officials say deputies are out there to watch for any more slides and to make sure rocks stay off the roadway.
