Resources fighting the Roan Cliffs Fire have been scaled back.

The decision to pull some firefighters off the fire came after a third day of low fire activity.

The fire is at 795 acres.

A few firefighters will remain on the ground to monitor flames and a crew will stay in the air for a bird's eye view.

Officials say they will be ready to ramp up operations should the fire flare back up.

The lightning-caused fire is located 32 miles northwest of Grand Junction.
