The numbers are in and it's looking good for students in Mesa County.

A new report shows the graduation rate is up 1.3 percent.

During the 2007-2008 school year District 51 graduated just more than 1,300 students.

Fruita Monument had the highest graduation rate of all county high schools at just above 85 percent.

The District says they’re finally seeing the fruits of their labors on the extended learning programs they've put in over the past few years.

Mesa County's graduation rate of 70.6 percent is still more than three points lower than the state.

The state graduation rate in the 07–08 school year dropped by just over 1 percent.
