A measure to change term limits on three Mesa County positions has officially made its way onto the November ballot.
Monday morning, the Mesa County Commissioners approved ballot measures that would extend term limits of the Mesa County District Attorney, Sheriff, and Coroner to three four-year terms.
Supporters told the commissioners it's a matter of experience and education and citizens can be shortchanged if an accomplished leader has to leave office after eight years.
Backers say in no way do they endorse eliminating term limits.
