A Grand Junction teenager is in the hospital after Colorado State Patrol troopers say he drove into a water-filled ditch late Monday.
Troopers say they spotted a truck in the ditch around 11:30 p.m. Monday. A Trooper was driving along I-70B when they saw the truck partially hidden by trees and stopped to investigate. They found an unconscious 19-year-old behind the wheel.
When paramedics arrived, they revived the teen who told them there had been another person in the truck who was missing. Troopers searched the surrounding area but didn't find anyone.
The driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
It's not clear whether any charges will be filed.
