The Montrose Police Department is confirming one officer has been killed, two more injured in an overnight shooting in Montrose.

Montrose Police says at approximately 8:30 Saturday night, officers were dispatched to 16915 64.50 Road for a domestic violence in progress.

When officers arrived on scene, they began talking with the involved parties, but meantime a male subject who'd barricaded himself in a garage started shooting at officers.

All three officers were transported to the hospital, one died.

Officer Larry Witte and Officer Rodney Ragsdale were wounded, and Sergeant David Kinterknecht died of his injuries.

Both Officer Witte and Officer Ragsdale are currently listed in fair condition.

The suspect died at the scene.
