Funeral arrangements have been finalized for a fallen Montrose Police Officer. Sgt. David Kinterknect will be laid to rest on Friday.

Funeral services for Sgt. David Kinterknecht will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 31 at the Lloyd McMillan Gym on the Montrose High School campus (600 South Selig Avenue).
Due to limited seating at the gymnasium, a live video feed will be provided to an overflow seating area at the High School. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early and be seated by 9:45 a.m.
The funeral services will also be streamed over the Web at www.montrosepressvideo.com, courtesy of the Montrose Daily Press.
Those who are unable to attend the funeral are invited to line the streets along the procession route. A map of the funeral procession route is attached to this story.
Road closures will be imposed throughout the length of the procession route. The traveling public should expect lengthy delays.
Graveside services will follow at Cedar Cemetery, located on East Miami Road. Miami Road east of Hillcrest Drive will be closed to vehicle traffic for the graveside services.
Those wishing to attend the graveside services will be directed to park at designated parking areas shown on the attached map and walk along Miami Road to the cemetery. Limited accommodations will be
made for those needing assistance.
