The Dollar Tree and Operation Home Front teamed up to collect school supplies for military families in the area.

The response has been strong from the community and the Blue Star Mothers have collected two large boxes of school supplies to help military families that have loved ones overseas.

If you think that you qualify for school supplies, the Blue Star Mothers are still taken applications on their website at The children’s names are not required, only the number of children and the grades.

Operation Home Front provides emergency and morale assistance for troops, the families they leave behind and for wounded warriors when they return home.

The Grand Valley Blue Star Mother’s is a congressionally chartered Veterans Service Organization looking out for our active duty troops, veterans and military families.
