The Mesa County Commissioners have passed a resolution strongly opposing the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009, also referred to as the Cap and Trade Bill.
Commissioners say they are concerned that the bill will have little impact on the environment, but will hurt the economy and will cost citizens too much.
They say they plan to send the resolution to local officials as well as to Congress.
