If you're wondering why a flock of flyin' Miatas has been circling around town... they're here for a weekend of fun.

Friday night owners of a lot of Mazda Miatas landed at Sonic on North Avenue for dinner, a car show and some bonding.

It's all part of an open house event put on by the local performance car company, Flyin' Miata.

The owners say they host the four–day event, which includes a day at the race track, test drives, scenic tours, seminars and more as a thank you to their customers from all over the world.

Saturday anyone who likes fun cars or has one is welcome to stop by their shop in Palisade to check it out.

There'll be lots of gear heads there to talk horse power and speed.
