A father and son have been arrested in connection to an armed robbery that took place on Sunday afternoon.

47-year-old Ronald Firm and 20-year-old Christopher Firm are facing multiple charges including robbery and menacing.

According to an arrest affidavit, the two men forced their way into a David Street apartment Sunday afternoon, threatened to kill the couple inside if they called police, and made off with a computer, flat screen TV, and cell phones.

Police were able to locate the truck the men sped away in shortly after getting the 911 call. Officers say they found the items missing from the apartment in the truck bed.

The two men are being held in the Mesa County Jail on $10,000 bonds.

It is amazing how people have ignored the justice system and the philosophy of "innocent until proven guilty." The ignorance and bias expressed by people who participate in commentaries such as this are leading to the demise of an OUTSTANDING charitable organization who is shocked and traumatized by the events that have 'alegedly' transpired - not to mention the harassing e-mails and web comments received by the minister who runs the paranormal investigation organization that one of the accused belonged to. I can assure you that the paranormal investigation team has acted proactively and Mr. Firm is no longer a member. Shame on "Citizen" and "Concerned" for their slanderous comments toward an organization that provides an invaluable service to this community...not to mention the Clifton Fire Dept. member who also decided to behave in a slanderous and shameful manner. I am so disappointed in the citizens of Mesa County for holding a group of people responsible for one person's actions.

This guy (ron) has been to prison before and has a very violent history..He has stalked my girl friend for years..even though there was a restraining order to prevent such action..he has threatened her life..and the life of her young daughter..he belongs behind bars for the rest of his life..a felon who uses a hand gun to commit armed robbery and his bond is only 10,000 come on people..if this guy gets out he will hurt someone real bad..

Thank God that GJPD was able to quickly apprehend these dirtbags. Who knows what they would have done next if they got away with it. I hope they rot in prison

Is this the Ron Firm that belongs to CCPI Paranormal that was mentioned in the free press? Don't think I would want them investigating anything in my home!!!
