Salazar to dedicate W. Colorado wilderness area

Grand Junction, Colo. (AP) - Interior Secretary Ken Salazar will dedicate a new national conservation area and wilderness area in western Colorado.

The ceremony will be Wednesday near Grand Junction.

Salazar, a U.S. Senator from Colorado until he became Interior Secretary, will dedicate the Dominguez-Escalante National Conservation area and the Dominguez Canyon Wilderness Area.

President Barack Obama is scheduled to visit Grand Junction Saturday as part of a western trip with his family.
