Southwest could buy Frontier Thursday at auction

We could know as early as Thursday whether or not Southwest Airlines will buy bankrupt Frontier Airlines.

A bankruptcy court auction is scheduled for Thursday.

Dallas-based Southwest on Monday offered &170 million to take Frontier out of Bankruptcy protection.

Southwest is seeking to expand in Denver, where Frontier is based.
Frontier offers service to Grand Junction, but that service will stop in September.
