After an internal investigation by the Fruita Police Department cleared the officers who pulled a teenager over minutes before her fatal crash the family says they are insulted by the results.

In February Samantha Loy was killed in a rollover accident after drinking and driving and not wearing her seatbelt.

The fatal accident happened just four minutes after she was pulled over by a Fruita Police Officer for not using her turn signals.

Thursday her family spoke out against the results of the internal investigation which says the officers who pulled her over did nothing wrong.

Samantha's stepfather Tim Larsen says he's livid, saying she was treated differently than other drivers who have been pulled over while driving drunk.

Larsen also says he's upset with Samantha for drinking and driving in the first place but feels that the officers failed to do their job by not noticing she was intoxicated.

Seriously, let it go. The poor girl has passed, let her rest in peace. Why can't you (the media) focus on something a little more important to the community other than these parents who can't seem to get the answers "they want", the officer was cleared of any wrong doing. The parents should be ashamed for making a mochery of this whole ordeal. Signed, Frustrated and fed up.
